Zambia-Belgium Relations
The bilateral relationship between Zambia and Belgium are very warm and cordial and the two countries share similar approaches to many international issues, including climate change, fight against terrorism, democracy and good governance.
System of government
Belgium is a constitutional monarchy. His Majesty King Phillipe is head of state.
Bilateral Cooperation
In view of the above-mentioned, Belgium has indirectly been providing assistance to Zambia through a wide range of channels and actors, including NGOs, multilateral cooperation and emergency aid programmes, among others. In particular, support has been through the provision of sponsorship of Zambian students to study in Belgium, and also through to structures that support the promotion of good governance.
